Deploy as a Windows Service

Zeaware Monitor for Power BI can be deployed as a Windows Service that is executed on a Windows Virtual Machine.

From a security perspective, Zeaware Monitor is optimised to run under the security context of a Azure Managed Identity. This means no usernames or passwords are required to be stored by the application. The Azure Virtual Machine service provides an option that allows applications on the virtual machine to run within a managed identity security context.

NOTE: Selecting a virtual machine to run a windows service comes with security considerations that should be reviewed by customer technical and security experts.
